  10.        This release note describes patch SG0000823 to ClearCase
  11.        2.0.2 running on IRIX 5.3. This is SGI's release of Atria's
  12.        clearcase_p2.0.2-85.

  14.        1.1  _S_u_p_p_o_r_t_e_d__S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e__P_l_a_t_f_o_r_m_s

  16.        This patch contains bug fixes for ClearCase 2.0.2 on a
  17.        system running IRIX 5.3.  The software cannot be installed
  18.        on other configurations.

  22.        This patch contains fixes for the following bugs in
  23.        ClearCase 2.0.2.

  25.           +o Contains ClearCase components required to support
  26.             ClearCase Attache.

  28.           +o cleartool rmtype fails to log rmall operation in
  29.             unusual circumstance.  Requires users to always say
  30.             -rmall if the vob is replicated.
  31.  
  32.           +o Checkin of a DO in the same rule as it is built
  33.             confuses view_server.
  34.  
  35.           +o Adjustments in idle specifications when -power is
  36.             specified were not being handled correctly.  Resulted
  37.             in build hosts not being used when they were available.
  38.  
  39.           +o Rules that did not specify a -idle setting were
  40.             inheriting a -idle specification from a previous rule
  41.             erroneously.
  42.  
  43.           +o Cannot remove reference from a vob to a unix rm'ed
  44.             view.
  45.  
  46.           +o cleartool rmtype -rmall would remove all instances of a
  47.             type before executing any triggers.

  76.        Because you want to install only the patches for problems
  77.        you have encountered, patch software is not installed by
  78.        default.  After reading the descriptions of the bugs fixed
  79.        in this patch (see Section 1.2), determine the patches that
  80.        meet your specific needs.
  81.  
  82.        If, after reading Sections 1.1 of these release notes, you
  83.        are unsure whether your software meet the requirements for
  84.        installing a particular patch, run _i_n_s_t.  The _i_n_s_t program
  85.        does not allow you to install patches that are incompatible
  86.        with your hardware or software.
  87.  
  88.        Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
  89.        software product.  Follow the instructions in your _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e
  90.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_o_r'_s _G_u_i_d_e to bring up the miniroot
  91.        form of the software installation tools.

  93.        Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

  95.          1.  At the Inst> prompt, type

  106.              incompatible.  (The installation tools reject an
  107.              installation request if an incompatibility is
  108.              detected.)  If this occurs, you must deselect one of

  142.        To remove a patch, use the _v_e_r_s_i_o_n_s _r_e_m_o_v_e command as you
  143.        would for any other software subsystem.  The removal process
  144.        reinstates the original version of software unless you have
  145.        specifically removed the patch history from your system.
